Configuring website domains
Whenever you want to use a domain name with Mozello website, you must point the domain to Mozello servers by updating your domain's DNS settings. Here is how.
After you have set a domain name for a website via Reseller control pan, you also must point your domain name to Mozello servers by adding the following DNS records to your domain settings:
- CNAME record for www.domain.tld that points to r1.mozello.com
- A record for domain.tld that points to 220.127.116.11
This is usually done at your domain registrar or on DNS hosting server. Please note that it may take up to 24 hours for the DNS changes to take effect.
Custom reseller account domain setup
White label reseller accounts can replace mozello.com with their own domain name in Mozello login, signup and backend links. For this to work, you must take following steps.
1. Send us your domain name
You must first notify Mozello about the domain name that you want to use. Contact us via support. Note that reseller account sign-up fee must be paid before we can set up your custom domain.
2. Update your domain configuration
After your custom domain is set up by Mozello, you must also update your domain configuration by adding the following DNS record:
- Wildcard CNAME record for *.domain.tld that points to r1.mozello.com
This is not done by Mozello staff. This is usually done at your domain registrar or on DNS hosting server. Please note that it may take up to 24 hours for the DNS changes to take effect.
