How can I enable HTTPS (SSL) for my website?
Every Mozello website can run over a secure HTTPS (SSL) connection free of charge, through our partner Cloudflare. What you need to do depends on where your domain name is registered.
Domain registered through Mozello
HTTPS is set up automatically when your domain is registered and connected. Full activation can take up to 48 hours. There is nothing to configure and no SSL certificate to buy.
To check the status, log into your website account and open Settings > General settings > Security. If you see Cloudflare and HTTPS are enabled, setup is complete. If you see Enable HTTPS and Cloudflare, click it once and allow up to 48 hours for activation.
Domain registered elsewhere
If your domain is registered with another provider, you need to set up Cloudflare and update your domain settings yourself. This is free and requires a few steps in your Cloudflare account and at your domain registrar. Follow the guide How to connect HTTPS to a domain bought elsewhere. The Enable HTTPS and Cloudflare button on the Security tab opens the same guide for such domains.
Exceptions
- Websites using a Mozello subdomain (e.g. mywebsite.mozello.com) support HTTPS by default.
- If you are using multiple domain names for the same website, the Security tab is not shown; contact us to enable HTTPS.
